Powering success for 1,000 customers - SparkLayer celebrates major milestone

Lucy Vinestock, Marketing Manager

Customer Success

With B2B eCommerce set to continue its skyrocketing trajectory, we’re excited to share that we just hit a huge milestone - we’re now powering 1,000 B2B customers with SparkLayer.

This achievement shows the size of the B2B eCommerce opportunity out there and we feel very privileged to be part of it. There’s an unstoppable force at play as more brands, retailers, and wholesalers realise they really CAN digitise their B2B operations!

From established B2B businesses to D2C brands that are taking their first steps towards a hybrid offering, we’re proud to be supporting the ever-evolving needs of our customers across the globe.

We created SparkLayer with the intention of making B2B eCommerce as intuitive as D2C is, meeting customer expectations and creating a seamless experience. Our solution overlays standard eCommerce websites to enable B2B functionality, from self-service and Sales Agent ordering through to custom shipping options and customer-specific price lists. We help B2B businesses move online, saving them time, increasing their sales, and, crucially, keeping their customers happy.

With platforms like Shopify and BigCommerce readily available, some of our customers already had the foundations in place to launch a B2B service; others have required a more bespoke, consultative approach to shift from their purely-D2C approach. Regardless of their starting point, our team has set our global customers up for long-term, sustainable success, adapting and enhancing their eCommerce experience.

“We feel privileged to be able to play a part in our customers’ business journeys and to genuinely help them grow their B2B operations. It’s thanks to them that we’re able to constantly innovate and evolve SparkLayer and help more and more businesses succeed.” ~ Chris Mattingly, Co-Founder and CEO at SparkLayer

One of our early SparkLayer customers was New Zealand D2C brand, Two Dudes. Co-Founder, Tomas Tappin, told us that he genuinely thought it was too good to be true that they’d be able to unlock their current website for B2B customers. They had most of the solution already and just needed a little help from us! Every single one of our 1,000 customers has a story to tell that’s similar to this.

There's a common thread we've observed in all of our customers in the context of B2B - they all stick to the core principles of excellent eCommerce:

So - what next for SparkLayer? While we take a moment to reflect on the year, there’s much in store for 2024 as we continue our mission to simplify B2B eCommerce and help customers grow their B2B businesses!
