Background
Nutrition Faktory launched as a brick-and-mortar retailer in the US and grew quickly, opening 12 stores in just 18 months. As they moved into franchising, SparkLayer helped them unlock entirely new customer bases.

The challenge
Nutrition Faktory had ambitious plans to scale and needed a tool that would support their growth, not hold it back. They had explored other platforms but found them lacking core B2B features, such as showing prices at cost rather than retail.

The business works with a range of suppliers, as well as independent buyers like gyms and VIP retail customers, and needed a way to manage their various price lists. Each customer segment gets a different B2B price to reflect their order history and relationship with the business. They also had to manage different payment methods across customer segments, adding another layer of complexity to their back-end setup.
To improve operational efficiency, Nutrition Faktory needed clearer controls around profit thresholds, especially for pallet shipments. They also needed shipping rules to be automated rather than manually managed.

They’ve also specified payment methods for each customer type, giving them greater control over cash flow and forecasting.
